5 PELIKULA NI DOLPHY PALABAS SA CINEMO

Masayang balikan ang limang kagiliw-giliw na mga pelikula di Dolphy ngayong nalalapit na kaarawan niya sa CineMo mula Hulyo 24 hanggang 28.

Sa tinagal ng career ni Dolphy, na nagsimula noong World War II, ay marami na siyang nagampanang mga karakter na tunay na tumatak sa mga Pilipino tulad ng ordinaryong taong si John sa “John en Marsha” at ang transvestite na comfort woman na si Walterina Markova sa “Markova: Comfort Gay.”

  1. Action is not Missing (July 24, 3 PM)

Ang “Action is not missing ay tungkol sa isang grupo ng sundalong Pilipinong nasama sa Vietnam War. Misyon nilang mailigtas ang isa pang grupo ng mga sundalong Pinoy. Si Dolphy ay isang asintadong sundalong madalas napapahamak.

  1. Home Along Da Riles (July 25, 3 PM)

Ordinaryong tao lamang si Kevin Cosme, ang karakter ni Dolphy sa “Home Along Da Riles.” Sobrang sumikat ang sitcom na ito kaya’t ginawan ng dalawang pelikula. Kailangang mautakan ng Cosme family ang isang kurakot na governor para mapanatiling ligtas ang kanilang pamilya.

  1. Wanted Perfect Father (July 26, 3 PM)

Isang insurance agent si Dolphy sa “Wanted: Perfect Father.” Nagpanggap siyang isang babaeng nurse para patuloy na maalagaan ang kaniyang anak matapos isipin ng mga tao na patay na siya. Ibang klase ang husay sa pag-arte na ipinapakita ni Dolphy pag siya ay gumaganap sa mga roles na bumabasag ng gender roles gaya nito, ni Walterina Markova, at ni Facifica Falayfay.

  1. Balimbing (July 27, 3 PM)

Si Dolphy ay si Pipoy Dudularutin, isang lalaking may lihim na nakaraan, na laging napupunta sa mga nakakatawang sitwasyon. Kasama niya ang isang batang-batang Richard Gomez para magpatawa at magpatumba ng isang corrupt na mayor sa isang barrio na ginampanan ni Panchito, isa ring mahusay na actor. Nanalo si Pipoy bilang mayor at nakuha rin niya ang loob ng mga taga-barrio.

  1. Father en Son (July 28, 3 PM)

Nakakaantig ng puso ang “Father en Son.” Tungkol ito sa isang amang nagsisikap na mabigyan ng magandang buhay ang kaniyang anak matapos silang iwan ng ina nito. Si Dolphy at ang kaniyang tunay na anak na si Vandolph ang mag-amang Johnny at Bimbo. Makakamit nila ang tagumpay sa showbiz pero magugulo rin ito sa pagbabalik ng nanay ni Bimbo.

  1. Home Along Da Riles 1 (July 25, 3 PM)

Dolphy portrays an everyday man character, Kevin Cosme in “Home Along Da Riles.” The sitcom was so successful that two movie versions of the show were made. In “Home Along Da Riles 1” the Cosme family must outsmart a dirty governor and his goons to keep their family safe.

  1. Wanted Perfect Father (July 26, 3 PM)

In “Wanted: Perfect Father,” Dolphy plays an insurance agent who pretends to be a female nurse to be able to take care of his son after being thought dead. The range of Dolphy’s acting is explored whenever he takes on gender-breaking roles such as this, Walterina Markova, and Facifica Falayfay.

  1. Balimbing (July 27, 3 PM)

Dolphy is Pipoy Dudularutin, a man with a past, who finds himself in silly situations while trying to get by. He teams up with a young Richard Gomez to bring the laughs and challenge the corrupt mayor of a small town played by Panchito, another acting legend. Pipoy wins the election and the hearts of the townspeople.

  1. Father en Son (July 28, 3 PM)

“Father en Son” is a heartwarming story about a dad who works hard to provide for his son after they are abandoned by the boy’s mother. Johnny and Bimbo are played by Dolphy and his real life son, Vandolph. The rags to riches story of Johnny and Bimbo are made complicated by the arrival of Bimbo’s mother. The movie ends with the father and son being reunited and the forgiveness of the mother.
