ABS-CBN and KidZania Manila execs, honored at SKAL Int’l Tourism Personality Awards

 

ABS-CBN head of entertainment production Laurenti Dyogi, and KidZania Manila governor, president, and CEO Maria Rosario “Cookie” Bartolome received honors from the 27th SKAL International Tourism Personality Awards.

 

KidZania Manila governor, president, and CEO Maria Rosario “Cookie” Bartolome accepted her award in the Family Entertainment Category for leading ABS-CBN’s educational theme park Kidzania.

 

ABS-CBN head of entertainment production Laurenti Dyogi was awarded “Media Personality of the Year” in the Broadcast Media Category.

 

ABS-CBN head of entertainment production Laurenti Dyogi and KidZania Manila governor, president, and CEO Maria Rosario “Cookie” Bartolome received honors from the 27th SKAL International Tourism Personality Awards for their significant contributions in the country’s tourism industry.

Laurenti was awarded “Media Personality of the Year” in the Broadcast Media Category for continuing to play a vital role in the creation of quality content that is relevant to Filipinos worldwide.

Cookie, meanwhile, was hailed in the Family Entertainment Category for leading ABS-CBN’s educational theme park Kidzania –  where children learn life skills through the power of play – with a vision of sharing the Filipino brand of happiness through meaningful themed experiences.

Both Laurenti and Cookie were lauded with other business leaders in a ceremony held Thursday (September 7) night at the New World Hotel in Makati.

Accepting his award, Laurenti vowed that the network will continue to use its reach and resources  to highlight the culture and destinations in the Philippines.

“On behalf of the whole management of ABS-CBN, we’re here to promise that we will help promote Philippine tourism and be proud of our culture and heritage in all our platforms,” he said.

Cookie added that the company also hopes to make the country proud and shine not just through content but through experiences, just like what they are doing at Kidzania Manila.

“It’s very encouraging that having been only two years in operations we are already being recognized for this such a prestigious award. We are just encouraged to do even better and provide more meaningful experiences for our Filipino children. We hope to do the Philippines even prouder and bring more tourism to the country,” she said.

In previous years, SKAL also awarded ABS-CBN chief operating officer of broadcast Cory Vidanes and ABS-CBN chief content officer Charo Santos-Concio for their contributions in the promotion of Philippine tourism. ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak was also the International Tourism Personality Awardee in the TV Station of the Year category in 2015.

The SKAL International Tourism Personality Awards aims to recognize individuals for their support and contribution to the development and promotions of tourism in the country as Asia’s best tourist destination.

Umani ng parangal sina ABS-CBN head of entertainment production Laurenti Dyogi at KidZania Manila governor, president, at CEO Maria Rosario “Cookie” Bartolome sa 27th SKAL International Tourism Personality Awards para sa kanilang mahahalagang kontribusyon sa industriya ng turismo sa bansa.

Tinanghal na “Media Personality of the Year” si Laurenti sa Broadcast Media Category para sa kanyang ginagampanang papel sa paggawa ng mga de kalidad na programa para sa mga Pilipino sa buong mundo.

Si Cookie naman ay ginawaran sa Family Entertainment Category para sa kanyang pangunguna sa educational theme park ng ABS-CBN na Kidzania, kung saan natututo ang mga bata tungkol sa buhay sa pamamagitan ng laro. Layunin ni Cookie na maibahagi pa ang kasiyahang may tatak Pilipino sa pamamagitan ng mga makabuluhang karanasan.

Tinanggap ng dalawa ang mga parangal kasama ang iba pang awardees sa ginanap na seremonya noong Huwebes (Setyembre 7) sa New World Hotel sa Makati.

Ani Laurenti, patuloy na gagamitin ng Kapamilya network ang lawak at lakas nito upang ibida ang kultura at mga lugar sa Pilipinas.

“Sa ngalan ng buong management ng ABS-CBN, narito kami para ipangako na aming susuportahan ang turismo ng Pilipinas at ipagmamalaki ang ating kultura at pamana ng bansa sa lahat ng plataporma ng ABS-CBN,” aniya.

Dagdag ni Cookie, hindi lang sa pamamagitan ng mga programa maiaangat ng kumpanya ang bansa kundi pati sa mga atraksyon tulad ng Kidzania Manila.

“Hinihimok kami ng karangalang ito na galingan pa ang paghahatid ng mga makabuluhang karanasan sa kabataang Pilipino. Sana ay mabigyan pa namin ng karangalan ang ating bayan at makatulong sa pagpapalakas ng turismo sa bansa,” sabi niya.

Naparangalan na rin ng SKAL sina ABS-CBN chief operating officer of broadcast Cory Vidanes at ABS-CBN chief content officer Charo Santos-Concio. Ginawaran din si ABS-CBN president at CEO Carlo Katigbak ng International Tourism Personality Awardee sa TV Station of the Year category noong 2015.

Layunin ng SKAL International Tourism Personality Awards na kilalanin ang mga indibidwal na sumusuporta at nag-aambag sa pagunlad at pagpapalaganap ng turismo sa bansa bilang pinakamagandang destinasyon sa Asya para sa mga turista.
