ABS-CBN BRINGS ENTIRE NBA FINALS LIVE ON FREE TV

The NBA season has finally reached its crux with the Golden State Warriors and defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers meeting for the third straight time at the Finals. Filipino hoop fans will be able to catch all the championship action as ABS-CBN, the country’s leading media and entertainment company, delivers all the games LIVE on national television starting this Friday (June 2), 9am on ABS-CBN ch.2 with same day replay on S+A ch.23 at 8pm.

Game 1 of the best-of-seven finals series will be played at the Warriors’ home floor at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, thanks to the Warriors’ superior win-loss record of 67-15 compared to the Cavs’ 51-31. Stephen Curry and company have reached their target destination in a dominant fashion, staying unbeaten in 12 games in the playoffs, getting huge contribution from new Warrior Kevin Durant. Durant is finally making a return to the Finals stage five years after his former team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, got brutally dealt with by a Miami Heat squad led by LeBron James.

Similarly, the Cavaliers won the Eastern Conference title with ease, stamping out challenges from Indiana and Toronto in the first two rounds and surrendering only one loss to the Boston Celtics. This trilogy with the Warriors marks James’ seventh straight Finals appearance in his quest to add another title to an already decorated resume. Leading the platoon of shooters and reliable veterans behind James is superstar guard Kyrie Irving, who shot the game-winner that sealed the championship last season after a phenomenal comeback from a 3-1 deficit.

Bringing the action closer to the Filipino audience will be TJ Manotoc and Boom Gonzalez, who will cover the games live in the USA, while Filipino basketball legends Ronnie Magsanoc and Benjie Paras will hold the local fort with various guest panelists to provide game recap and analysis.

Catch all the games LIVE on ABS-CBN ch.2  starting this Friday (June 2) at 9am, while Game 2 is on June 5 at 8am, Games 3 and 4 on June 8 and June 10 at 9am and 8:30am, respectively. If necessary, Game 5 will be on June 13 at 9am, Game 6 on June 16 at 9am, and Game 7 on June 19 at 8am on ABS-CBN ch.2. Replays are available on S+A ch.23, ABS-CBN’s free TV sports channel, on the same day at 8pm.
