ABS-CBN HAILED AS BEST TV STATION, NABS 25 AWARDS AT 25TH GOLDEN DOVE AWARDS

ABS-CBN picks up its eighth Best TV Station award for the year at the 25th Golden Dove Awards. Chinky Alcedo, ABS-CBN head of digital terrestrial television (DTT), accepts the award for the Kapamilya network.

ABS-CBN picked up its eighth Best TV Station Award for 2017 and hauled a total of 25 trophies for its entertainment and news shows, journalists, and stars at the  25th Golden Dove Awards of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP).

The Kapamilya network also took home another Best TV Station Award (Provincial) for ABS-CBN Cagayan de Oro, one of its regional stations across the country.

Meanwhile, veteran journalist Karen Davila was honored as Best TV Public Service Program Host for “My Puhunan,” while Atom Araullo was named Best Public Affairs Host for “Red Alert.”

Kapamilya stars also dominated the Golden Dove Awards including Coco Martin who won Best Actor for a Drama Program and Sylvia Sanchez who was named Best Actress for a Drama Program.

“The Greatest Love,” one of the top-rating afternoon shows of ABS-CBN that had its finale last April, was also recognized as the Best Drama Program.

“Team YeY!,” a children’s program aired on ABS-CBN TVplus’ YeY! channel during weekdays, picked up its third award for the year as it was named Best TV Children’s Program for its “Sound Check” segment.

Comedian Bayani Agbayani also nabbed the Best TV Actor for a Comedy Program for his performance in CineMo’s “Funny Ka, Pare Ko,” while Angelica Panganiban won Best TV Actress for a Comedy Program for her work in “Banana Sundae.”

Other winners include  “ASAP” (Best TV Variety Program), “Home Sweetie Home” (Best TV Comedy Program),  “Matanglawin” (Best TV Science and Technology Program), “Tapatan ni Tunying’s” Trono episode (Best TV Public Affairs Program), “TV Patrol Central Mindanao” (Best TV Newscast-Provincial), ABS-CBN Iloilo’s “Derecho” (Best TV Public Affairs Program-Provincial), ABS-CBN’s “Isang Pamilya Tayo Ngayong Pasko” (Best TV Station Promotional Material), “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano Ligtas Tips” (Best Television PSA), “DZMM’s Fastbreak” (Best Radio Sports Program), “DZMM Radyo Negosyo” (Best Public Service Program), “DZMM’s Pasada Sais Trenta” (Best Public Affairs Program), “DZMM’s Dr. Love Hugot” (Best Radio Station Promotional Material), Zhander Cayabyab (Best Field Reporter), “DYAB Radyo Patrol Balita Alas Dose” (Best Radio Newscast-Provincial), and “DZMM Radyo Patrol Balita Alas Siyete” (Best Newscast-Metro Manila).

The KBP is the premier broadcast media organization in the country composed of owners and operators of radio and TV stations that organizes the Golden Dove Awards, which aims to recognize excellent practice of broadcasting in the Philippines.

ABS-CBN, KINILALANG BEST TV STATION AT UMANI NG 17 PARANGAL SA 25TH GOLDEN DOVE AWARDS

Nasungkit ng ABS-CBN ang ika-8 Best TV Station Award nito ngayong 2017 at umani rin ang Kapamilya network ng 17 na Parangal para sa kanilang entertainment at news shows, journalists, at artista sa 25th Golden Dove Awards ng Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP).

Pinarangalan din ng Best TV Station Award (Provincial) ang ABS-CBN Cagayan de Oro na isa sa mga regional stations ng Kapamilya network sa bansa.

Samantala, kinilalang Best TV Public Service Program Host si Karen Davila para sa “My Puhunan,” habang tinanghal namang Best Public Affairs Host para sa “Red Alert” si Atom Araullo.

Nagningning din ang Kapamilya stars sa Golden Dove Awards kabilang na si Coco Martin na nanalo bilang Best Actor for a Drama Program at Sylvia Sanchez na nagwagi bilang Best Actress for a Drama Program.

Best Drama Program naman ang Parangal na nasungkit ng “The Greatest Love,” ang isa sa mga naging top-rating afternoon shows ng ABS-CBN na nagtapos noong Abril.

Bukod dito, nanalo naman ang “Team YeY!” na isang programa na pinapalabas sa YeY channel ng ABS-CBN TVplus ng Best TV Children’s Program para sa “Sound Check” segment nito. Pangatlong parangal na ito ng “Team YeY!” ngayong 2017.

Tinanghal din na Best TV Actor for a Comedy Program ang komedyanteng si Bayani Agbayani para sa kanyang Pagganap sa “Funny Ka, Pare Ko” sitcom ng CineMo ng ABS-CBN TVplus, habang si Angelica Panganiban naman ang hinirang na Best TV Actress for a Comedy Program para sa “Banana Sundae.”
