ABS-CBN IS THE NUMBER ONE TV STATION FOR 2013

From sign on to sign off, ABS-CBN is the most watched network in the country in 2013 after it ruled national TV ratings across urban and rural homes with an average national audience share of 42%, or 9 points higher than GMA’s 33%, based on year round data from Kantar Media.

Kantar Media uses a nationwide panel size of 2,609 urban and rural homes that represent 100% of the total Philippine TV viewing population, while the other ratings data supplier AGB Nielsen reportedly has only 1,980 homes based solely in urban areas that represent only 57% of the Philippine TV viewing population.

From January to December 2013, ABS-CBN beat all other networks across all time blocks and even swept all 15 slots in the list of top 15 most watched programs last year.

The Kapamilya network remained undefeated in primetime (6PM-12MN) with an average audience share of 47%, or a whopping 16-point lead over GMA’s 31%. The primetime block is the most important part of the day when most Filipinos watch TV and advertisers put a larger chunk of their investment in to reach more consumers effectively.

ABS-CBN also led the morning (6AM-12MN) block with an average audience share of 37% vs GMA’s 33%, while the network hit 40% audience share in the early afternoon block (12NN-3PM) vs GMA’s 36%. The late afternoon (3PM-6PM) block scored no exception as the Kapamilya Network ruled with 38% as compared to GMA’s 33%.

When it comes to the country’s top 15 most watched programs, ABS-CBN ruled the list with its original Pinoy superhero “Juan dela Cruz” leading the pack with an average national TV rating of 34.7%. It was followed by “Ina Kapatid Anak” (33.4%), “Princess and I” (31.1%), “Maalaala Mo Kaya” (30.7%), Wansapanataym (29.7%), and “Honesto” (28.3%).

“TV Patrol” remained as the viewers’ top choice for newscasts with an average national TV rating of 27.7%, or a ten point lead against GMA’s “24 Oras” (17.1%).

Also included in the top 15 list from January to December 2013 were “Got To Believe” (27.6%), “Aryana” (26.6%), “Muling Buksan Ang Puso” (26.1%), “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala” (25.9%), “Pilipinas Got Talent” (25.4%), “Bet On Your Baby” (25.3%), “The Voice of the Philippines” (25.1%), and “Be Careful With My Heart” (22.9%).

On December 2013 alone, ABS-CBN again ended the year with a bang by maintaining its monthly leadership over rival TV stations garnering an average audience share of 43%, or 10 points higher than GMA’s 33%.

“Juan dela Cruz,” pinakapinanood ng mga Pinoy noong 2013

ABS-CBN, NUMERO UNONG TV NETWORK PARA SA TAONG 2013

Mula umaga hanggang gabi, ABS-CBN ang pinakatinututukan at numero unong TV network sa bansa noong 2013 matapos itong magtamo ng average national audience share na 42%, o mas mataas ng siyam na puntos sa GMA na may 33%, base sa datos ng Kantar Media.

Mas mapagkakatiwalaan ang datos ng Kantar Media na batay sa 2,609 na kabahayan sa parehong urban at rural areas sa bansa.  Mas marami at eksakto kaysa sa service provider ng ibang networks, ang AGB Nielsen, na mayroong 1,980 kabahayan na nakabase lamang sa mga urban area.  Kinakatawan ng Kantar Media ang 100% ng mga kabahayang may telebisyon sa Pilipinas, habang umano’y 57% lamang ang kinakatawan ng AGB Nielsen dahil hindi kasama ang rural areas sa datos nito.

Mula Enero hanggang Disyembre, namayagpag ang ABS-CBN sa lahat ng timeblocks at hinakot rin nito ang lahat ng pwesto sa listahan ng top 15 pinakapinanood na programa sa bansa sa nagdaang taon.

Hindi natinag ang Primetime Bida (6PM-12MN) ng Kapamilya network na may average audience share na 47%, higit 16 puntos ang lamang sa 31% ng GMA. Ang primetime ang pinakamahalagang timeblock dahil sa mga oras na ito may pinakamaraming nanonood kung kaya’t importante ito sa advertisers na naglalagay ng patalastas para maabot ang mas nakararaming Pilipino sa buong bansa.

Wagi rin ang ABS-CBN sa morning block (6AM-12NN) sa average audience share na 37% laban sa 33% ng GMA, pati na sa early afternoon block (3PM-6PM) na may 40% kontra sa 36% ng GMA. Hindi rin nagpahuli ang late afternoon block (3PM-6PM) ng Kapamilya network na pumalo sa 38% vs 33% ng GMA.

Patuloy pang pinatunayan ng ABS-CBN ang pagiging numero uno sa taong 2013 matapos nitong masungkit ang lahat ng pwesto sa listahan ng top 15 most-watched programs sa buong bansa kung saan nanguna ang “Juan dela Cruz” sa average national TV rating na 34.7%. Sinundan ito ng “Ina Kapatid Anak” (33.4%), “Princess and I” (31.1%), “Maalaala Mo Kaya” (30.7%), Wansapanataym (29.7%), at “Honesto” (28.3%).

Ang “TV Patrol” pa rin ang pinakapinagkatiwalalan pagdating sa balita sa average national TV rating nito na 27.7%, o sampung puntos ang lamang sa “24 Oras” (17.1%) ng GMA.

Maging sa pagtatapos ng 2013 ay hindi man lang nagawang ungusan ng ibang network ang ABS-CBN. Panalo pa rin ito sa ratings sa buwan ng Disyembre na nagtala ng average national audience share na 43%, mas mataas ng 10 puntos sa 33% ng GMA.

May 26 na TV networks, ad agencies, at pan-regional TV networks ang kasalukuyang naka-subscribe sa ratings services ng Kantar Media na kilala sa buong mundo bilang isang kumpanyang sumusukat at nananaliksik ng mga manonood ng telebisyon.  Kabilang sa subscribers nito ang ABS-CBN, NBN, Sky Cable, J.
