Filipino basketball fans are enjoying a massive treat from ABS-CBN, the country’s leading media and entertainment company, which has been bringing the NBA Finals series LIVE on free TV and on SKYcable since Game 1 between the Golden State Warriors and defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers last June 2.

The Warriors cruised to a Game 1 victory with a 113-91 thrashing of the Cavs, behind Kevin Durant’s 38 points and 2016 MVP Stephen Curry’s six three-pointers while Lebron James’ double-double of 28 points and 15 rebounds could not make up for his team’s 20 turnovers.

The second game was quite the same story yesterday (Manila Time) as the Warriors were able to crush the Cavaliers after the halftime break, 132-113, with Durant turning in 33 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, and five blocks while Curry had a triple double. James also tallied his 8th palyoff triple double in a losing effort.

Golden State is now two games away from hoisting their second NBA championship trophy in three years, and an unprecedented perfect postseason record.

Filipino NBA fans caught the action with Filipino commentary on ABS-CBN ch.2 on free TV and on ABS-CBN HD on SKYcable ch. 167, courtesy of ABS-CBN Sports’ Boom Gonzalez and TJ Manotoc, who are covering the Finals in the US.

Meanwhile, NBA fans who prefer to watch the game with the original english commentary tuned to the game on S+A ch. 23 on free TV and on S+A SKYcable ch. 17 and S+A HD SKYcable ch. 166.

Viewers will continue to experience the best of both worlds as ABS-CBN’s NBA Finals coverage go on with Game 3 scheduled on Thursday (June 8) at 9am on ABS-CBN, ABS-CBN HD, S+A, and S+A HD.

Those outside Metro Manila can also enjoy the games live and in the language of their choice. For Sky subscribers in Cebu, Davao, Bacolod, Iloilo, Baguio, General Santos, and Dumaguete, NBA Finals will be LIVE in Filipino on ABS-CBN ch. 2 and ABS-CBN HD ch. 700, and in English on S+A ch. 8 and S+A HD ch. 701. Sky Direct subscribers can catch the games on ABS-CBN HD ch. 2, S+A ch. 8, and S+A HD ch. 24.

Can James, the NBA’s all-time playoff scoring leader, and Kyrie Irving, the cover boy of the new NBA2K game, defend their home turf as the series swings to Cleveland for Game 3 on Thursday (June 8) at 9am? Game 4 will be on June 10 at 8:30am. If necessary, Game 5 will be on June 13 at 9am, Game 6 on June 16 at 9am, and Game 7 on June 19 at 8am. Replays are available on S+A, ABS-CBN’s free TV sports channel, on the same day at 8pm.

A SKYcable ch. 17 at S+A HD SKYcable ch. 166.

A, and S+A HD.

A ch.23 at S+A HD ch.701. A ch. 8, at S+A HD ch. 24.
