John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo fans swoon over “Finally Found Someone” in press screening at the TFC Studio

When TFC at the Movies did a special press screening of “Finally Found Someone” just before the scheduled opening in the U.S. and Canada, representatives from various local media and publications were present. Also in attendance were movers from the Philippine Consulate: Madam Mariza Sanchez-Bensurto, wife of Consul-General Henry Bensurto; Consul Carlyn Monastrial, and Executive Director of the Pilipino Senior Resource Center Cecile Gregorio-Ascalon. A collective group of fans likewise filled the TFC Studio.

As the opening scenes unfolded, one could hear suppressed giggles and thrilled reactions. “Kilig” (romantic excitement) was apparently in the air. “Finally Found Someone” is a romantic comedy that tells the story of April (Sarah Geronimo), who was deserted by her groom on their wedding day. Raffy (John Lloyd Cruz) is the PR expert who was hired to fix things, and make April happy again, to avoid a political scandal.

Sarah Geronimo plays April, a heartbroken girl who was ditched by her groom on their wedding day.

John Lloyd Cruz is Raffy, a PR expert who was assigned the task of making April happy once more.

Bradford Adkins, columnist for Manila Mail, says “It’s the magical combination (between) Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz. They never disappoint.” Nora Torrea, an enthusiastic fan of Filipino movies, enthuses “Nakakaiyak at nakakakilig. It’s a mixture of family drama and a love story.” Torrea claims that she will watch the movie again this Saturday during its regular run in theaters.

“I really loved the movie because they have good chemistry, and they crack me up all the time,” says Jaclyn Sumang-Sison, of OMG Photo & Video.  Alex Drechsler shares that “it was really interesting to see the way their relationship develops.” “Maganda siyang story para sa mga millennials like us,” admits Jona.

Many, if not all, of the attendees said they already have tickets to the regular screening and will be watching again. A crowd favorite is Raffy’s sexy “lungkot-kembot” moves, as he teaches April how to dance the pain away. The movie is peppered with unforgettable lines and memorable scenes that fans will enjoy.

“Finally Found Someone” marks the much-awaited reunion of Blockbuster Royalties John Lloyd Cruz (Raffy) and Sarah Geronimo (April), after their series of hit movies “A Very Special Love” (2008), “You Changed My Life” (2009), and “It Takes A Man and a Woman” (2013).
