MYX TV GM MIGUEL SANTOS NAMED AMONG NAMIC’S 10 EMERGING EXECUTIVES OF COLOR

The National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) announced recently the winners of its 2017 Next Generation Leaders Awards, recognizing emerging business leaders of color in the media and entertainment industry for their career successes and commitment to fostering diversity in the workplace.

Myx TV General Manager Miguel Santos was named among the 10 emerging executives of color in NAMIC’s 2017 Luminaries Class. Santos oversees Myx TV network’s strategy, programming, production, marketing, ad sales and business development, with the goal of elevating the narratives of one of the most under-represented minority groups in media. Myx TV is owned and operated by ABS-CBN International.

The 2017 Next Generation Leaders Awards will be presented in four categories to the following honorees:

  • Cable MSO: Ebonne Ruffins, VP, Local Media Development, Comcast Cable
  • Cable Programmer: Daniel Eilemberg, President & Chief Content Officer, FUSION TV
  • Tech Company/Discipline: Linda Pan, SVP, New Digital Business, AMC Networks
  • Creative Discipline: Romina Rosado, SVP & Editor-in-Chief, E! News & Online, NBCUniversal

In addition to honoring the four Next Generation Leaders, NAMIC will also honor 10 emerging executives of color in its 2017 Luminaries Class:

In partnership with Multichannel News, the 2017 Next Generation Leaders will be honored at the 31st Annual NAMIC Conference during the NAMIC Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 11:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. ET at the New York Marriott Marquis.
