The world’s biggest basketball stars are set to converge once again for the annual NBA All-Star weekend, which will air LIVE from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, USA on ABS-CBN on Saturday (February 18), and on S+A on Sunday (February 19) and Monday (February 20).

TJ Manotoc and Boom Gonzalez will bring the action straight from the US starting with the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge this Saturday (February 18) LIVE on channel 2 at 10am on NBA SabaDOS. The event features the top performing rookies and sophomores in a battle between Team USA and Team World. Team World is made up of the league’s players discovered from countries such as Cameroon, Australia, Serbia, Canada, among others.

On Sunday (February 19), big men like Joel Embiid and Kristaps Porzingis will take on the Taco Bell Skills Challenge, Klay Thompson will try to defend his crown in the JBL Three-Point Contest, while high-flyers led by last year’s runner up Aaron Gordon will rock the crowd in the Verizon Slam Dunk contest, all at the State Farm NBA All Star Saturday that will air LIVE on S+A starting at 9am. Minnesota Timberwolves’ Zach Lavine, the electrifying NBA slam-dunk champion of 2015 and 2016, declined a chance at a three-peat before sustaining a torn ACL in his left knee last February 3.

The action reaches its climax on Monday (February 20) as the East and West collide in the 66th All Star Game presented by KIA, which will air LIVE on S+A also at 9am. The West All Stars will be starting Golden State’s Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, San Antonio’s Kawhi Leonard, Houston’s “Beard” James Harden, and New Orleans’ very own Anthony Davis. Cleveland’s pair of LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, Milwaukee’s “Greek Freak” Giannis Antetokounmpo, Chicago’s Jimmy Butler, and Toronto’s DeMar DeRozan will banner the East side.
