ANC’s “Mukha” revisits best stories for special “Just Love” series

Award-winning documentary series “Mukha” retells the journey to self-love of Kat Gumabao this Wednesday (December 13) on ANC, the ABS-CBN News Channel for the second part of its special “Just Love” series this December.

Kat was first featured in the program back in 2015, when she confessed to feeling insecure about her image. The daughter of famous actor Dennis Roldan always wanted to be an actress and follow the footsteps of her father. However, because of her size, she had difficulty breaking into the limelight.

She also had to stand in the shadow of her two younger siblings, actor Marco and professional volleyball player Michele, who were ironically on the cusp of reaching her original dreams for herself.

Currently, Kat has made a name for herself, without having to change her physical appearance for acceptance. She proudly walks the runways of several international fashion shows as a beautiful plus-size model.

Apart from love for self, “Mukha” will also showcase love for nation, love for freedom, and as it continues to look back at its most memorable stories to show the many forms of love in line with ABS-CBN’s Christmas theme this year, “Just Love.” Last week, the program revisited its “’Di Ka Pasisiil” feature on the Marawi siege with Jeff Canoy and Chiara Zambrano.

“Mukha” made history last year after winning a Silver Dolphin at the 7th Cannes Corporate Media and TV Awards in France. It was also a finalist at the 2017 New York Festivals Awards for International TV programs and Films for its entry “Serbisyo” in the Current Affairs category.
