SKY is taking on a convergent strategy to deliver a seamless content experience with unlimited high-speed broadband connection, premium HD cable television, reliable mobile internet, and exclusive video-on-demand platform, all under one subscription plan. The convergent strategy is SKY’s answer to the changing behavior of consumers when it comes to consuming content and accessing the internet.

“Convenience is now the key to satisfying consumers. With One SKY, we’re simplifying all their needs and freeing them from the hassle of individual subscriptions.” March Ventosa, SKY Cable chief operating officer said.

One SKY subscription plans start with a bundle of unlimited 8Mbps or 16Mbps broadband, cable TV with 10 HD and 31 SD channels such as ABS-CBN HD, S+A HD, ANC HD, HBO HD, NBA Premium HD, Cartoon Network HD, Disney HD, History HD, and RTL-CBS Entertainment HD, among others. There is also access to SKY On Demand at P1,599 and P1,999 monthly fees, respectively.

The launch of One SKY marks SKY Cable’s foray into convergent services for Filipinos in the evolving digital media landscape.  As an ABS-CBN company, SKY Cable’s introduction of One SKY also complements ABS-CBN’s transformation into an agile digital company.

Higher subscription plans include 32Mbps or 64Mbps unlimited broadband, cable TV with 13 HD and 43 SD channels including the aforementioned channels plus additional channels such as AXN HD, CNN HD, and Warner TV HD and access to SKY on Demand and HBO GO.

Subscribers may choose to add more channels via Select for as low as P20/month or catch special features on Pay-Per-View. Content can continue to be enjoyed outside of the home using their device with SKYmobi, for an additional P499/month.

One-time installation fee is only P1,999 which includes a Cable Modem with built-in Wi-fi Router and a SKY On Demand Digibox that lets subscribers catch-up on their favorite cable shows on TV and on-demand.  The Digibox also has the iRecord function that allows subscribers to record, rewind, and pause live TV so they never miss out on their favorite shows and scenes. One SKY is initially available in Metro Manila, Cavite, and Laguna.

Sky Cable Corporation is the first to introduce cable television to Filipinos in 1990. Since then, it has been a frontrunner in technology and cable content by being the first to design a highly customized viewing experience among subscribers, and offering the most number of HD channels. Its properties now include SKYbroadband, SKY On Demand, and SKYdirect, an affordable direct-to-home satellite pay TV service available nationwide.
