“Umagang Kay Ganda” brings “NanayCon” to Iloilo

A beautiful morning awaits Ilonggo mothers as ABS-CBN’s well-loved morning program “Umagang Kay Ganda” (UKG) brings its “Nanay Convention” (NanayCon) to Iloilo in continuation of the 10th anniversary celebration of the program.

The UKG family led by Anthony Taberna, Jorge Carino, Ariel Ureta, Winnie Cordero, and Robi Domingo will be at the Iloilo Convention Center on Monday (September 25) for a day filled with new knowledge and tips on how to care for and protect one’s family. Also coming to provide entertainment is UKG heartthrob Marlo Mortel.

This is the third leg of the NanayCon, which was held in Pampanga last July 3 and in Taguig City last August 18. The event starts with a simple workout to energize the crowd, cooking demos, and home management talks. Fun games and raffle prizes are also in store for participants, who may also avail of free facial, haircut, and massage courtesy of the program’s sponsors and partner organizations.

Attendees will also get UKG’s limited edition “Nanay Manual,” which serves as a guide in making beautiful mornings with recipes, kitchen hacks, and other useful information and tips. Produced in partnership with ABS-CBN Publishing, Inc, the booklet is free for all participants.

UKG is set to join other ABS-CBN programs s in Hong Kong later this year for a massive public service event for Filipino overseas Filipino workers. One of the offerings they will bring to our kababayans is the grand finals of “Nanay Kong Kay Ganda,” a search for outstanding mothers.

Through these efforts, the decade-long morning show hopes to further help and support mothers, which are the program’s partners in making each morning bright and happy for Filipino families.

Apart from consistently leading the early morning timeslot based on data from Kantar Media, UKG has also received many awards in the past 10 years, including “Best Morning Show” from UPLB Gandingan Awards and the 2nd Golden Laurel Awards of LPU Batangas in 2017.

“Umagang Kay Ganda” airs Mondays-Fridays from 5am to 8:00 am on ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN HD. Watch online or on iwantv.com.ph or skyondemand.com.ph online. For updates, follow “Umagang Kay Ganda” on Facebook (@umagangkayganda2) and Twitter (@ukgdos).
