“X FACTOR” TOP SEVEN GOES BACK TO THE 80S. Another intense musical battle will commence this Saturday (Sept 8) as “The X Factor Philippines” top seven finalists sing hits from the 80s. The pressure is on for Daddy’s Home and Joan Da as the last mentees of judge-mentors Gary Valenciano and Pilita Corrales. The all-male group is set to do a Chicago hit while the 26-year old musician will take on a Michael Jackson smash. Meanwhile, Charice’s girls KZ Tandingan and Allen Sta. Maria will respectively do their renditions of songs from popular 80s groups, The Bangles and The Police. Martin Nievera’s Boys, on the other hand, are determined to remain as the only unrattled group at this point in the competition. Jeric Medina will sing a George Michael hit, Gabriel Maturan will cover a Kenny Loggins classic, while Kedebon Colim will summon Survivor in his performance. Who will impress the judges and the public? Be sure to save your favorites from being in the bottom two by voting for them this Saturday night (Sept 8). Vote after their performances by texting XF<space>JERIC/GAB/KED/ALLEN/KZ/DAD/JOAN and send it to 2331 for Globe and Sun subscribers and 231 for Smart and Talk ‘n Text subscribers. Who among them will be sent home next on Sunday’s elimination night? Don’t miss as the competition heats up in the country’s biggest and grandest musical event of the year, “The X Factor Philippines,” with KC Concepcion as host, every Saturday, after “MMK,” and every Sunday, after “Sarah G Live” on ABS-CBN. The Bangles at The Police.
